Centuries ago, Thanksgiving began as a harvest celebration…a day centered on giving thanks for the blessings of God. What a powerful legacy that is!
Psalm 100:4 says thankfulness opens the gates of the Lord’s presence! I pray gratitude fills your heart this Thanksgiving and ushers you into God’s presence.
Although many may face troubling circumstances this Thanksgiving, I believe there are wonderful blessings in store for those who are hurting! Thanksgiving offered in hard times is the most powerful praise of all!
Remember the account of Paul and Silas inside a Philippian jail (Acts 16:22-34)? They chose to sing praises to God. Their praise created an earthquake that set them free and brought salvation to many. I pray you experience that same POWER!
If your heart is hurting this holiday, ask God for the BREAKTHROUGH you need and choose to PRAISE Him. Paul says prayer and thanksgiving go hand-in-hand. In Colossians 4:2, he says “…be vigilant in it (prayer) with thanksgiving.” Paul is saying, ‘keep asking with confidence in God’s power and provision.’
Remember, as you obey God’s Word, prayerfully ask and thank Him for His answers. He is working behind the scenes to produce outcomes you’ve never imagined. Thank Him for His love and care, give Him your sorrows, and receive His joy and peace.
I am thankful for you and pray your blessings overflow this holiday season. I look forward to hearing about the POWER God releases on your behalf because of your PRAISES!
God bless you,
