How God Answered When a Cancer Scare Came Out of Nowhere

When Arnitha’s world was shaken by loss, injury, and a frightening diagnosis, she discovered that God’s faithfulness never fails—even when the road ahead looks uncertain.

A Faithful Journey

On Christmas Eve in 2008, Arnitha first discovered Inspiration Ministries while watching a Campmeeting broadcast in her Texas home. Something stirred in her heart during the program, and she knew she wanted to be part of what God was doing through the ministry.

Over the years, Arnitha built genuine relationships with the Inspiration Ministries team. She’s grateful for the calls to check in and pray for her needs, and for the letters celebrating milestones in souls reached around the world. What began as a connection through a broadcast grew into something far deeper—a true family in Christ.

That bond was tested in 2014 when Arnitha’s world was turned upside down by the passing of her beloved husband. Through one of the most painful seasons of her life, the Inspiration Ministries team was praying for her every step of the way.

A Health Scare

Several years later, Arnitha underwent neck surgery and was beginning to heal when she was struck by another car while driving. Scared and hurting, she was taken to the hospital to have her neck and back examined. While there, she received both good news and bad news.

The good news was that the accident didn’t do further damage to her neck. But while having the X-rays done, the doctors found something suspicious near her throat. What they saw suggested thyroid cancer—a frightening possibility on top of the neck surgery and accident she was still recovering from.

In the middle of that uncertainty, Arnitha received a timely call from an Inspiration Ministries prayer minister. Together, they agreed in prayer to lift this burden to the Lord, and her faith grew as she leaned into that promise.

A Great Report!

A few days later, during their weekly prayer meeting, the Inspiration Ministries team felt led by God to pray for Arnitha. They had no idea that she was on her way to the doctor’s office at that very moment to find out whether she truly had thyroid cancer.

That morning, the Lord blessed her, and she rejoiced at the good news. Soon after her doctor visit, she shared: “The doctors found no cancer in my thyroid! Thank you for always keeping me in prayer.”

Arnitha’s story is a reminder that God is faithful in every season—through grief, through injury, through the frightening unknown. He works through the prayers of His people to bring comfort, healing, and hope exactly when we need it most.
