Gracie B, faithfulness

Gracie B and the Honeycombs Episode 7 Premiere: ‘Faithfulness’

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries3 Minutes

When someone asks you to do something that may be difficult and they depend on you, do you pull through regardless of how hard it is? When someone tells you a secret, can you be counted on to keep it to yourself? Are you always willing to go the extra mile to help someone in need? Are you loyal to the people who are the most important to you like family and friends? Do you pray and study the Bible regularly? Are you true to your word and commitments?

The Bible is full of examples of faithfulness, from Moses to Daniel to Paul, and so many more. This is why “faithfulness” is considered one of the nine fruits of the spirit in Paul’s letter to the Galatians. The other fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control.

In Episode 7 of “Gracie B and the Honeycombs,” Gracie B’s Granny tests Grit’s faithfulness and his ability to keep his promise. While Granny, Gracie B, Sally, and Winston go to the shop to pick up some goodies for their game day, Granny entrusts Grit, who has been cleaning up the garden, to ensure nothing happens to her plate of cherry muffins. The only problem is that cherry muffins and their irresistible aroma are one of Grit’s favorite foods. Unfortunately, his temptation is not the only thing he has to contend with. Not too far away lurk those pesky roaches, Chick and Wilbur, who will do everything they can to snatch one of Granny’s savory cherry muffins. Not only does Grit remain faithful to Granny and keep his word, but he keeps the roaches at bay.

When we are faithful, such as when we say or promise we’re going to do something and we do it no matter how difficult it might be, then our friends and family will be happy because it shows that we have good character and God rewards His children for their good character.

Episode 7 also includes the catchy song, “A Promise Is a Promise.” Learn more about “Gracie B and the Honeycombs” here.
