Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries3 Minutes

Are you quick to help out a friend, stranger, or even someone you’re rivals with when they need help? Would you go out of your way to help those who have had a bout of bad luck? Would you stand by hoping that someone else would lend a hand or would you willingly jump right in to do whatever is necessary to help someone? Would you trust and believe in the goodness of others? Goodness is a virtue that we hope everyone exudes, which is why Paul included “goodness” as one of the nine fruits of the spirit in his letter to the Galatians. The other fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

In Episode 6 of “Gracie B and the Honeycombs,” Gethsemane Grove, where Gracie B and her bandmates—Sally, Grit, and Winston—live, is hit by a severe storm that devastates a large part of their small community. After the storm has passed, Gracie B and the Honeycombs and the rest of the community pitch in to clean up the damage. Among those helping out are Gracie B and the Honeycombs’ nemeses: Chick and Wilbur. When Gracie B surprises the roaches as they haul debris to their home, Chick hurts his leg. When Gracie B and her friends follow Chick and WIlbur home, they realize their house didn’t fare well during the storm. The four band members work together to repair the cockroaches’ home.

Apostle Paul describes what it’s like to demonstrate goodness in 2 Thessalonians 1:10-12, “On the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

“With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ” (NIV).

It’s important to remember that whenever we’re in the middle of a big job or facing our own problems, God has called us to do good things for others. So, if we can show God’s goodness to others by helping them, we should.

Episode 6 also includes the uplifting song, “Buzz as a Bee.” Learn more about how you can help us fund more episodes and songs of this show at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kids-animation-gracie-b-little-hero-big-heart
