Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

How do you respond when a loved one is sad? Do you give them a hug? Do you say something uplifting that makes them smile or laugh? Or do you hand them a tissue if they’re crying? Regardless, it’s important to show kindness toward others. Kindness is so important that it is one of the nine fruits of the spirit, along with love, joy, peace, forbearance, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Kindness is at the heart of the lesson in Episode 5 of “Gracie B and the Honeycombs.” However, it’s not Gracie B and her friends, the Honeycombs, who learn all about kindness. Instead, it’s their rivals, those dastardly cockroaches Chick and Wilbur. Chick notices that his friend Wilbur is sad and not his normal self. Unfortunately, Chick has used his friend as the foil for most of his hare-brained plots to interrupt Gracie B and the Honeycombs’ band rehearsals and Chick is tired of it. Upon this realization, Chick finds the kindness in his heart to bring a smile back to Wilbur’s face. The cockroaches show a kindhearted side hidden beneath their mischievous exteriors.

In 2 Corinthians 6:6, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that kindness is a hallmark of genuine Christian character: “We prove ourselves by our purity, understanding, patience, and kindness” (NLT). Here, kindness is presented not just as a passive quality but as an active expression of integrity and moral strength. it reflects the transformative power of living in accordance with God’s will. By embodying kindness, believers demonstrate their commitment to loving and serving others, aligning with the broader biblical call to reflect God’s grace and compassion in everyday interactions.

Episode 5 also includes the catchy song, “Nothing Is Impossible.” Learn more about how you can help us fund more episodes and songs of this show at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kids-animation-gracie-b-little-hero-big-heart
