7 Steps to Your Healing

Biblical Truths That Position You for Wholeness

If you need a healing in your body, emotions, finances, family—or any other area of your life—know this:

God wants you well.

Our prayer for you, like John’s prayer for Gaius, is that you “prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2 NKJV). God’s healing isn’t limited to physical recovery. He heals broken hearts, restores relationships, provides financially, and renews strength.

Here are seven practical and powerful steps to help you receive the healing God desires for you.

Step #1—Eliminate Hindrances

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that might be blocking God’s healing power. These hindrances can include:

• Unbelief
• Unforgiveness
• Pride
• Sin
• Fear
• Generational patterns
• Poor decisions

Once the Holy Spirit brings something to light, don’t hesitate—confess it, release it, and let God wash it away. Healing flows more freely through a cleansed and surrendered heart.

Step #2—Worship

When you’re waiting for healing, worship keeps your eyes on the Healer—not the problem.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you” (Isaiah 26:3 ESV).

Jesus is “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV)—keep looking to Him, not your own strength or symptoms.

Step #3—Pray the Word

Find healing Scriptures, and speak them out loud. Declare them when:

• You feel sick
• You’re tempted to fear
• Your strength feels low
• Your faith feels weak

The Word is alive and powerful. Let it become your daily medicine.

Step #4—Wage Spiritual War

Satan wants to steal your health—but you’ve been equipped to fight.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10 ESV).

Put on God’s armor (Ephesians 6:14–17), resist the enemy’s lies, and use the spiritual weapons God has given you (2 Corinthians 10:4). When your life is submitted to God, you have authority to say:

“Stay out of my life, Satan!”—and he must flee (James 4:7).

Step #5—Ask God for Wisdom

You’ll receive plenty of advice from doctors, books, and friends—but always ask the Lord what He says.

“Get wisdom” (Proverbs 4:7 ESV).
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts” (Colossians 3:15 ESV).

God will guide your healing process with peace, not pressure.

Step #6—Touch Him by Faith

Healing is part of God’s covenant. Reach out to Him like the woman in Mark 5:24–34—she didn’t just hope, she acted in faith.

Jesus is present with you now. You can touch Him through worship, prayer, and obedience—and receive your healing.

“Who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:3 ESV).

Step #7—Praise Him for Healing

Even before you see the answer, praise Him.

Remember King Jehoshaphat? Victory came after they praised—not before (2 Chronicles 20:1–30). Let your praise be a weapon of faith.

Heavenly Father,
May Your healing power mightily touch this child of Yours. Let them feel Your presence and peace. We proclaim today in Jesus’ mighty name that every healing promise in Your Word is true for them. Make them a testimony of Your love and power. In Jesus’ name, amen.
