How You Walk

How You Walk

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

Our Christian lives begin when we accept the finished work of Jesus and realize that “by grace you have been saved through faith.” We cannot earn this salvation. We cannot be good enough to measure up to God’s standards. Our salvation is His gift to us when we believe (Ephesians 2:8).

But we still have a role to play through the decisions we make every day about how we are to “walk.” This implies a whole range of practical activities: where we go, our companions, what we do, and what we think and talk about.

Paul says we are to “walk in Him.” This starts as we are aware that Christ actually is in us. This is a mystery that changes our lives (Colossians 1:26-27). He is with us, to help us make the right decisions and do the right thing. He gives us the power we need to live victoriously. We can draw on His Spirit to have discernment, to speak the right words, to be His witnesses.

Remember that Jesus is with you. In fact, He is in you. This is a powerful mystery, but it is a truth that can change your life. You are not alone. You can draw on His strength. You can seek Him for guidance and direction. He
can help you make decisions and give you discernment in all your relationships.

Surrender your life to Him. Let Him guide you by His Spirit.
