Tormented No More!

For years, Shirley secretly battled tormenting thoughts every single day. Then one Friday afternoon, everything changed …

From the outside looking in, Shirley was a sophisticated Christian woman. No one could have guessed she was suffering from daily anxiety attacks and paralyzing fear. The debilitating uneasiness in the pit of her stomach often would last for hours. Each day, her tormenting thoughts were becoming more intrusive, and finally she was at her wits’ end. 

“One Friday afternoon, I came home from my job, where I had been figthing negative thoughts all week,” she recalls. “I was being shaken with intense fear and anxiety in every area of my life.” Sinking into her living room chair, drowning in hopelessness, Shirley realized she was under spiritual attack. She knew she couldn’t go on this way—it was time to fight back and turn things around. 

Shirley’s Cry for Help

In that moment, Shirley felt led to call the International Prayer Center at Inspiration Ministries. Though she feared she sounded “crazy,” the prayer minister understood her immediately.

“I was incredibly relieved,” Shirley says. “The Holy Spirit helped her understand—she was a Godsend!” Together, they boldly claimed biblical promises. “She led me to put on the full armor of God from Ephesians 6,” Shirley explains. “I learned to hide under the Lord’s covering and find protection from the enemy’s fiery darts.”

A Life Transformed

Suddenly, Shirley’s anxiety lifted. “Immediately, I felt better! And when I woke up the next day, I knew something had changed,” she shares.

Since that call, she has learned to combat intrusive thoughts by renewing her mind with Scripture, often leaning on the promises of Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV). 

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord” (NKJV).

The anxiety attacks are gone, and she continues to grow stronger with each passing day. “I am feeling better in every way, and I’m amazed by the consistent improvement in my life,” Shirley says gratefully. “Since that phone call to your International Prayer Center, I’ve been set free from torment, and now I know how to stand firm in God’s protection against the enemy!”

In just a short period of time, Shirley has become a new person. “God has transformed my life!” she reports. “Thank you for praying for me, Inspiration Ministries!”
