A Family Restored

Have you ever had to step out in faith? Have you ever trusted God for restoration of your life and relationships? Our partners David and Valerie, have … and they’ve never regretted it.

The couple met in the Philippines during David’s time in the military. As a military wife, Valerie knows what it means to go overseas and leave her whole world behind, but at the time, she didn’t realize the toll it would take on her. She lost connection with virtually all of her family members and cried out to God for restoration.

That’s when God’s grace kicked in.

The couple stepped out in faith and sowed a seed into Inspiration Ministries: “God works in your life according to what is in your heart,” observed David. “Sowing seeds works because it shows what you value in life.”

Shortly after this act of faith, they received a call from Valerie’s family—her brother Diego had received a cancer diagnosis. The family’s love for Diego compelled them to begin meeting online on a regular basis, renewing and strengthening their once tattered relationship.

God used the crisis to answer their prayers for restoration. But the God of immeasurably more had only just begun to work. Diego began to read his Bible, attend church, and surrender his life fully to the Lord. The entire family even celebrated together at his baptism. Diego’s new life in Jesus soon birthed another salvation. His son Bok-Bok also accepted Jesus Christ and embraced the free gift of eternal life!

Now David and Valerie love telling others their story of restoration and redemption. They have learned the importance of stepping out in faith to sow seeds into God’s Kingdom—which they’ve discovered is also sowing into their own promised blessings.
