The Strength of Agreement

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

The Bible teaches that there is power in agreement. We read that “two are better than one.” The coupling of individuals enables us to accomplish more.

If we are alone, no one is there to lift us up when we fall. When we work in harmony with others, we have someone to encourage us, complement our skills, reinforce our efforts, and help us stay on course.

We see this principle multiplied as we become spiritually bonded with more like-minded believers. Uniting our efforts with other believers gives us additional capabilities. Truly, “a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

Jesus taught that agreement was a key spiritual principle. Each of us, as individuals, can have a relationship with God and accomplish much. We can have powerful prayer lives. But a multiplication effect takes place when we are joined with other believers.

As Jesus taught, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Special things can happen when believers join together: “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20).

The Bible reminds us that we all are parts of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). We need each other, and are called to worship together, pray together, encourage each other, complement each other (Hebrews 10:25). Together, we can have more impact for the Gospel as we share our resources and work together.

Ask God to guide you into relationships that can help you accomplish more for His Kingdom.
