Aren’t You Somebody?

In Aren’t You Somebody? director Joe Phillips explores real-world problems and the “somebodies” who solve them.

When Doug Brown goes to Thailand on church business, he’s not expecting the knock on his hotel door — a child for rent. Intimidated by the man’s threats, Doug does nothing. Yet he’s haunted by the child’s face.

When he confronts a local pastor, insisting somebody should do something about it, the pastor challenges him: “Aren’t you somebody?”

In a world filled with evil that feels too big to fix, this film asks its hero to fight the horror that comes knocking on his door.
