Your Road to Victory

Have you ever had something stolen from you? Maybe it was something you owned or it was a relationship that turned sour and got away from you. Perhaps you were robbed of your dignity, or your rights were violated. Maybe it was the loss of your health or the death of a loved one.

Although you may feel your specific circumstance is unique to you, everyone experiences loss at one time or another. It’s either something – or someone – that goes missing from your life, and it’s tempting to feel angry, violated, and resentful.

Are you struggling with such feelings today? Are you struggling with anger or an overwhelming sense of hopelessness and helplessness? These feelings can take a terrible toll on you, to the point that you may even turn your back on God.

Instead of running to the Lord for strength in your time of worry or need, you turn away from Him, questioning why He didn’t protect you. Didn’t He promise to work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28)?

God’s Mighty Armor

There is a critical truth you must keep in mind when experiencing pain over what has been stolen from you: You have an enemy, and he is continually devising strategies to rob you of your Godly inheritance. Jesus warns, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10).

Fortunately, the Bible describes how the armor of God can protect your life, your loved ones, and everything the Lord has given you.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day. And having done everything, to stand firm (Ephesians 6:11-13).

Jesus goes on to say in John 10:10, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” Praise God, He will never leave you alone or defenseless! He can route the enemy and restore the peace and abundance in your life!

If you’ve had something stolen from you and walked away from the Lord even a little bit, God wants to heal your heart and restore your relationship with Him!

In times like these, it’s important to remind yourself that God is FOR YOU!
