What Is Faith?

The Greek word is pistis, which means “conviction, confidence, trust, belief, reliance, trustworthiness.”

What It Is:

Faith is …

• The evidence of what is not visible here on earth
• God’s creative power given to you when you accepted Jesus in your heart
• A piece of Heaven within you
• A gift from God
• The “title deed” to your spiritual inheritance

Faith is the power of God given only to His sons and daughters to do mighty things for the glory and honor of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Force of Faith

Faith can best be understood by its effects and results. It can powerfully and beautifully affect our emotions, body, soul, mind, spirit, and actions.

Faith isn’t a substance like steel or concrete, but as a spiritual force, it’s as real as a piece of steel. It can’t be seen, but neither can electricity, air, or the structure of the atom, about which we know a great deal.

When we trust God, He can deliver us suddenly and supernaturally from our enemies, sickness, and circumstances.

Satan will try to trick us into believing that we must live a sinless life in order to receive God’s blessings. But this is not only a lie, it’s also impossible. That’s why we need to walk continuously in the freedom and truth of God’s grace and forgiveness.

Our righteousness is through faith alone in the Lord Jesus.
