Using Wealth to Spread the Gospel

Using wealth to spread the Gospel is far more than an act of generosity—it’s an act of worship and partnership with God. Throughout Scripture, the Lord invites His people to invest their resources in His eternal purposes. While salvation is God’s gift through Jesus Christ, He chooses to accomplish His mission through ordinary believers who faithfully pray, serve, and give.

We’ve seen that truth unfold throughout the history of Inspiration Ministries.

When Inspiration Ministries launched in 1990, we stepped out in faith with a simple but ambitious vision—to use media to reach people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. We knew the Gospel could cross borders and cultures through television, radio, and emerging technologies, but we also knew we couldn’t accomplish that mission alone.

God has been faithful. Today, hundreds of millions of people around the world have access to the Gospel through Inspiration Ministries. Each year, more than three million people respond to the Gospel through this ministry’s outreach.

Behind these testimonies are remarkable stories of partnership—someone who prayed, someone who gave, and someone who believed that every soul is worth reaching.

How Faithful Partners Help Fuel God’s Work

From Genesis to Revelation, God invites His people to participate in advancing the necessary work of the Gospel.

One of the shining examples of the importance of partnership is Paul’s letter to the Philippians. In it, Paul thanks the church for helping him spread Christ’s glorious message.

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:3–5).

Later, Paul specifically acknowledges their financial support, describing their gift as “a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God” (Philippians 4:18).

Their financial support was more than a donation—it was participation in every life transformed through Paul’s ministry.

That same truth encourages us today. Every person who partners with Inspiration Ministries becomes part of countless lives touched by the Gospel through this ministry.

Wealth Advances a Kingdom

One often-overlooked detail after Jesus’ resurrection reminds us that money can advance someone’s message.

In Matthew’s account, we are told how the chief priests gave the Roman guards “a sufficient sum of money” to spread a false account denying Christ’s resurrection.

“While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers and said, ‘Tell people, “His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.” And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.’ So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day” (Matthew 28:11–15).

They understood that financial resources could be used to support and spread deception.

That reality hasn’t changed.

Every day, enormous resources are invested in messages that reject biblical truth—movies, TV programs, and books that spread lust, obscenities, and lies that propagate evil or ridicule the cause of Christ. At Inspiration Ministries, we’ve witnessed the opposite. We’ve watched God use the faithful generosity of His people to broadcast biblical teaching, proclaim the hope of salvation, strengthen believers, and introduce countless people to Jesus for the very first time.

Money itself is never the issue. The question is always: Which kingdom will it serve?

Investing in What Lasts Forever

We live in sobering times. Now more than ever, the body of Christ needs to rise up and finance the end-time harvest of souls. We need to sow sacrificial financial seeds to send the light of the Gospel to the nations while it’s still day—because the night is coming when no one can work (John 9:4).

Every digital resource, every prayer, every bit of outreach—it all represents another opportunity to reach a soul before it’s too late. At Inspiration Ministries, we’ve celebrated countless testimonies over the years, but we never lose sight of what makes those stories possible.
