Share God’s Light

The increasing godlessness of our culture pierces my heart. In a recent survey, over half of American young people reported feeling hopeless. As a child of God, you have the answer! The God of Hope who lives inside of you is willing and able to meet every need. He hears their cries – do you? God longs for us to carry the heartaches in and around us to Him, receive His wisdom and comfort, and take it to the world.

I recently read a scientific study that showed how introducing hope into a life-threatening situation increases the odds of survival by nearly 3000%! Let’s look at how we can share the hope within us and bring God’s light and life to our world!

God must first be our source of hope and life. Spending time with Him and connecting with other believers must be our top priority. Then, all our actions must align to that priority. Before we preach the Word, we must live it! A life built on God becomes a platform for life-saving, hope-inspiring conversations where you …

• Share how trusting God’s character, power, and plans for your life brings you peace (John 14:27)

• Clearly expose the problem of sin and the love of God revealed in Jesus (Romans 6:23)

• Explain how God sent Jesus to pay our sin-debt … and how the resurrection and subsequent gift of the Holy Spirit confirm a successful completion of that mission (Hebrews 10:10, 14)

• Emphasize God’s gift of life through Jesus by crying out to Him in thankfulness, asking for forgiveness, and receiving His cleansing, healing, and empowering Spirit (1 John 1:9)

When you allow God to lead and guide you, your life becomes a tangible expression of hope! Who will you share God’s hope with today?
