School of Deliverance: Three Major Tips for Deliverance

Hello, everyone! Welcome to School of Deliverance. We are studying Cast Out Demons and Slay Your Giants. Like David did, you’re gonna slay your giants. But first of all, you need to know who you are. Your identity — knowing your identity — plays a key role. Your true identity. Not the identity people told you, not the labels that society put on you. All these lies and deception about yourself must go away. You need to know your true identity in Christ. Who you are?

I teach in my mentoring classes right now — I’m super excited because I am mentoring young adults and they are learning so much about their identity — this is what I tell them: “Know who you are. Know what you want. Know where you are going.” These are all part of your identity. Knowing who you are, knowing what you want, and knowing where you are going. When you know these three things there’s no inner conflict.

I focus on identity so much because knowing who you are is a game-changer in your life. It’s a game-changer in deliverance. It’s a game-changer in your success. Who you are? What do you want in life? Where are you going? What is your calling? These are all part of your identity. But you’ve got to understand if there’s a self-conflict within you it is going to eat you alive. House divided within self cannot stand.

So if there’s an inner conflict — you’re a house, you’re a temple of God and there’s a conflict — you need to get rid of that inner conflict. If there’s any self-condemnation, if there’s any self-disqualification, if there’s any shame, guilt, inferiority, or insecurity, you’re gonna get them out of your personality. Once you establish your true identity you can be successful in any deliverance and anything that is coming against you in your life because your foundation is in the right place.

You know who you are. You know what you want. You know where you are going.
