A National Day of Prayer for Our Nation and the World

On the National Day of Prayer, believers across America pause to seek the Lord, lift up our nation, and pray for the needs of the world. In a time marked by division, unrest, confusion, and deep spiritual need, we turn our hearts back to God—the One who hears, forgives, restores, and reigns over all.

Scripture reminds us, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face … then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV).

This prayer is an invitation to come before the Lord with humble hearts, asking Him to bring healing, peace, wisdom for our leaders, revival among the nations, and renewed hope through Jesus Christ.

Coming Before the Lord with Humble Hearts

Heavenly Father, on this National Day of Prayer, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting our nation and the nations of the world into Your hands.

You are Creator, Sustainer, and King over all—perfect in wisdom, just in every way, and full of mercy. Today, we recognize how deeply we need You.

Turning Back to God

Your Word calls us to humble ourselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn back to You. So today, Lord, we come in repentance and faith, trusting Your promise to hear, forgive, and restore.

Where there is division—bring healing.
Where there is unrest—bring peace.
Where there is confusion—bring truth.
Where there is fear—bring the hope and assurance only You can give.

Praying for Leaders and Nations

Father, give our leaders wisdom, integrity, humility, and discernment to do what is right. Guide their decisions with justice, mercy, and truth.

Move across the nations of the world. Awaken hearts. Draw people back to You. Let the Gospel of Jesus Christ go forth with power—bringing hope, salvation, and new life to all who hear.

Strengthening God’s People

Strengthen Your people to walk in unity, stand in truth, and live with bold faith. Help us be faithful witnesses of Your love in a world that desperately needs the light of Christ.

And for every need represented today, we ask You to move. Comfort the hurting. Heal the sick. Provide what is lacking. Give wisdom where decisions must be made and direction where the path feels unclear.

Remind us that You are near … and You are not finished.
