Don’t Just Believe … Do!

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries5 Minutes

The more we look throughout the Bible, the more we see that faith and God’s blessings go hand in hand. The Bible says it’s impossible to please God and fully live in His favor without trusting Him and exercising your faith (Hebrews 11:6). We can’t transition from a place of lack and need to His abundant provision and blessings without truly believing His Word.

The Bible says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV). Faith has real substance and provides a confident assurance of God’s unseen reality. It anchors us, reminding us that what we hope for is just around the corner.

Even when faith doesn’t seem to be working, we can rest assured that it is. It may not be on our timetable or according to our wishes, but God is ALWAYS faithful, and He wants us to trust Him with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5–6), even when we don’t fully understand His mysterious purposes. You CAN trust Him with the outcome, knowing He sees the bigger picture.

Often, the problem is that we haven’t truly applied our faith. He is telling us to ACT ON our faith, but we don’t believe His promises enough to obey Him. Remember … Faith will remain lifeless, useless, and powerless until it’s put into action! It’s not just a feeling; it’s a call to action. Why else would God speak so often in His Word about faith’s transformative power and blessing?

Time after time, the Bible declares about faith: “According to your faith be it done to you” (Matthew 9:29 NKJV). “Your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:34 NKJV). “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). “He had faith to be healed” (Acts 14:9 NKJV). “He did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith” (Romans 4:20 NASB). “I live by the faith of the Son of God” (Galatians 2:20) … and this is just a small glimpse of His promises!

Our faith doesn’t rest on “the wisdom of men but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:5 NKJV)! It’s not about what we know or who we think we are. In fact, it’s not about us at all. It’s about God’s incredible power and what He can do … it’s about obeying His voice … praying for the impossible.

Just as the psalmist waited patiently for His promises, we must often wait if we’re going to experience our rightful inheritance: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. […] For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land” (Psalm 37:7, 9 ESV). Notice the last line: We WILL “inherit the land,” but only if we’re willing to persevere in faith … push through our fear and doubt … and “wait for the Lord.”

Don’t give up! Your inheritance is coming. Continue believing with unwavering faith that God will do what He says He will do!
