Turn Your Fallow Ground into Favored Ground

God calls His people to steward everything He has entrusted to them. When you choose to turn your fallow ground into favored ground, you open the door for eternal impact, blessing your family and advancing His Kingdom.

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you (Hosea 10:12).

Winning souls for Christ can become your legacy! But Scripture warns us that fallow ground—resources left idle and unfruitful—cannot produce the harvest God intends.

The dictionary defines fallow ground as “land that is allowed to lie idle during the growing season.” And spiritually, just as physically, if the soil remains untouched, no crop will ever grow. God isn’t pleased when we allow our assets, time, or talents to become fallow.

Do you own valuable assets that aren’t producing fruit? You may be holding resources that could be leveraged to change lives for eternity. Your “fallow ground” might include:

• Real estate that is unused or underutilized

• Other financial assets carrying elevated capital gains.
• God’s Word calls us to put every resource to work—not just for personal security, but for Kingdom impact.

When you surrender your fallow ground to God, He transforms it into favored ground—resources that not only sustain your family but also multiply for His glory.

Consider what happens when you release what is in your hand:

God redeems idle resources. What seemed stagnant can suddenly produce eternal dividends.

Your giving becomes worship. Stewardship is an act of obedience and trust in God’s provision.

Your partner in winning souls. Every seed you sow fuels the Great Commission—bringing the Gospel to nations in need.

You leave a lasting legacy. The harvest from your seed continues even after you’ve gone home to be with the Lord.

The truth is, your fallow ground is never wasted in God’s hands. When you invest it into His work, you align yourself with His promise: “It is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you” (Hosea 10:12).
