An Imperishable Inheritance!

Perhaps it is time to consider leaving an inheritance that can never be lost! Jesus clearly encourages making eternal investments in God’s Kingdom:
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:19-21).
Peter left everything to follow His Lord and preach the Good News (Mark 10:28-30). And he knew his earthly sacrifices would one day result in “treasures in heaven.” Not surprisingly, Peter encourages us to do the same:
“An inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:4 ESV).
