Let’s Never Forget

I feel so privileged to live in a country where we’re free to worship and to live our lives as we choose. Freedom is such a precious thing. I’m overwhelmed when I think about the brave warriors who have served and sacrificed so much to give us what we often take for granted.

These men and women bought and paid for our freedom through their service – and some with their lives. We should never forget them.

But, as we celebrate their sacrifice, we should also remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for each of us. Jesus told us, “Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13). It’s because of LOVE that Jesus laid His life down for you at the cross. And He still loves you today, more than you’ll ever know.

So, on this Veteran’s Day, we thank the men and women who fought and died to preserve our freedom to live, speak, and worship the way we want to – but most importantly, we thank our loving Savior for paying the ultimate sacrifice with His blood so we can have life in eternity with Him.

He is worthy of our praise and deserving of our eternal worship. May His name be lifted high so that all men can be drawn into His everlasting love.

Happy Veterans Day, and God bless you!
