Kim Gentry Meyer is a woman of many talents. In addition to being an award-winning songwriter and poet, Gentry Meyer is a recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, painter, fundraiser, animal rescue advocate, model, and former Mrs. Massachusetts (2020). She is an International Acoustic Music Award winner and a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition and has been showcased at the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville and the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. In 2023, Gentry Meyer was named the Woodie Guthrie Poet and invited to read her poem, “You’ll Find Me There,” during that year’s Woodie Guthrie Folk Festival.

In August 2023, Gentry Meyer released her debut solo album, Herald, with NWN Records and distributed by Integrated Music Rights. The music on the album is a culmination of her lifelong foundation of faith and music. With Herald, she pays tribute to her folk-pop roots while offering a variety of sonic approaches. It features eight original songs, all beautifully crafted and heavily rooted in scripture and elevated by her distinctive and transcendent sound. One of the themes listeners will find coursing throughout the album is one of restoration, which will lead listeners to lift their hands in praise and be encouraged no matter what season they may be walking through.

Gentry Meyer joins Inspiration Ministries’ John Farrell to discuss her debut album, Herald, her painting, her poetry, her time as Mrs. Massachusetts, her legacy, and much more.
