Your Glorious Home

Stress. War. Crisis. Rumors. Divisions. These are the constant themes of so much of our modern lives, even for Believers. The Bible describes a “time of trouble” that the world will go through. But the Bible also gives us perspective to understand the times and put life’s events in context, for God has promised to deliver us.

Jesus said that “in the world you will have tribulation.” And at times our tribulation can seem overwhelming. Yet He also told us we should “be of good cheer.” Why? Because “I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

We can rejoice in the victory Jesus gives us right now, in this present life. But we also should realize that God has prepared a new home for us in Heaven! We cannot imagine how wonderful it will be. As Paul wrote, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

In the revelation he received, John saw just some of what awaits us. It’s a place with no more sorrows, no death, no crying, no pain. This will be a new world, for “the old world and its evils are gone forever” (Revelation 21:3-4 NLT).

Today, no matter what you go through, you don’t have to be overwhelmed by the tribulations of this world. Trust God. He promises to deliver you. He already has prepared a glorious home, just for you.
