Trusting in God

When David stopped to consider his life, he realized all that God had done for him. He saw that He had “given him his heart’s desire” and “not withheld the request of his lips” (v. 2). In fact, God had blessed him with “good things” and “set a crown of fine gold on his head” (v. 3).

David made bold requests: “He asked life of You, You gave it to him, length of days forever and ever” (v. 4). God blessed him with honor and glory. In fact, God had made him “blessed forever” and “joyful with gladness in Your presence” (v. 6). No matter what he went through, he had stability and would “not be shaken” (v. 7). He was preserved from danger and the plots of evil men.

Why did this happen? Because he trusted in God. As a result, he overflowed with thanksgiving: “Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power.”

Today, you can experience this same kind of blessing, protection, and favor. It starts when you follow David’s example and trust in God. Let Him fill your life with peace, blessings, and contentment.

Trust in God leads to a life in which your prayers are answered and you can live in harmony with Him. It sounds almost too simple to be true, but the Bible promises that it really is that easy. And it is true. Just trust in God.
