Living in Harmony with God’s Design

Obeying our Creator brings freedom and peace, reminding us that true fulfillment comes when we live in harmony with God’s design.

“Even the stork in the heavens knows her times, and the turtledove, swallow, and crane keep the time of their coming, but my people know not the rules of the LORD” (Jeremiah 8:7).

Animals do not question their nature or place in creation. There is no second-guessing or rebellion, no uncertainty or angst. They simply live according to their God-given instincts.

The animals do what they were created to do … acting in the way they were born to act … fulfilling their divine design … following the appointed seasons of their lives.

We, too, have drives and instincts. But God gave us a free will and the ability to choose. These privileges can block us from receiving God’s blessings if we make wrong choices or develop a distorted view of our own capabilities.

Satan knew this when he told Eve that if she rejected God’s commands, her “eyes [would] be opened, and [she would] be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).

Adam and Eve fell because they believed the lie of the serpent and abused their privilege of free choice. Because they failed to obey God and trust Him completely, they went beyond their limits.

Your Creator wants you to be free from stress and worry and to experience His fulfillment and peace. However, to receive these blessings, you must cooperate with Him, obey His laws, and trust Him.

Relish the freedom God has given you. You will find fulfillment and happiness by obeying and trusting Him. He is your Creator. He knows you better than you know yourself.
