Living for the Glory That Lasts urges you to align your life with God’s purpose and help spread the knowledge of His glory across the earth.

“Behold, is it not from the LORD of hosts that peoples labor merely for fire, and nations weary themselves for nothing? For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:13–14).

Celebrities and politicians have their own ideas. Scientists reach their own conclusions. Business leaders and the media preach their own doctrines. Nations and armies seek conquests. Businesses and moguls try to advance their own kingdoms.

Nevertheless, God’s Word is clear: History is moving toward a day when “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” God is not fooled or intimidated by the actions of humankind. Nor is He worried. He knows that many are deceived and distracted by pursuing futile goals.

The Lord is looking for people who understand His purposes, are guided by His wisdom, and seek first His Kingdom. He doesn’t want us to be content until His knowledge is present everywhere!

The Bible tells us that all deeds done in the flesh will only be fuel for the fire. People may exhaust themselves in the pursuit of riches, pleasure, rewards, or accomplishments. Yet all these things will be “for nothing.”

Make sure you line up your life with God’s plans. Don’t waste time seeking things that won’t last, but seek His Kingdom and His righteousness. Start right now by filling your own life “with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.” Dedicate yourself to spreading this knowledge. Use your resources to help reach more souls. Serve God with the time, talents, and treasures He’s given you.
