Life-Changing Reality

John stressed that Jesus was real. He wasn’t a myth. His life wasn’t merely a nice story. John had heard Jesus speak, seen Him with his own eyes, and touched Him with his hands.

John was an eyewitness that Jesus’ “life was manifested,” and he felt compelled to testify about this powerful experience. He wanted others to experience this life-changing relationship with Christ, “so that you too may have fellowship with us,” and so they could enter into fellowship “with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

John knew that our joy would be complete only when we shared the reality of Jesus with others. The world needs to know this powerful, life-changing message, for the Gospel makes a difference in practical ways that people can see and hear! While Jesus was a teacher of eternal truth, He also was concerned with practical living and the issues people faced every day. He impacted their daily lives in tangible ways.

What impact has Jesus made on your life? How has He changed you? What difference has He made in your thoughts and feelings? What problems has He solved? What prayers has He answered? What miracles have you received?

Live in such a way that others can see the difference Jesus makes. Dedicate your life to sharing these truths with others. Bear witness and testify. Help others know that the Gospel is real—for you, for them, and for everyone.
