Holiness, Humility, Service

When Isaiah had a personal revelation of God, his life changed forever. He could no longer look at anything the same way. This change began when he “saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted.” He experienced God in His holiness as he saw seraphim crying out, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.”

Isaiah was awestruck by this image! He had heard about God, but nothing prepared him for the overwhelming reality of this personal encounter. He felt the impact when “the foundations of the thresholds trembled” at God’s voice.

More than ever before, Isaiah realized how insignificant he was before such a holy, loving, and powerful God. He knew his lips were unclean and he lived “among a people of unclean lips.” He had seen God! Although he felt unworthy, God restored him and allowed him to experience His mercy, grace, and forgiveness.

Then there was one more step. Isaiah heard God ask, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Because his life truly had been transformed, he felt compelled to respond. He realized God was looking for people who would dedicate their lives to serving Him—those who would commit their lives to telling others about this wonderful God! So Isaiah responded, “Here am I. Send me!”

Today, commit your life to serving God. Be willing to go where He wants you to go and do what He calls you to do. Seek a deeper, more personal, profound, and intimate relationship with God. Humble yourself before Him. Worship Him!

But don’t stop there: Dedicate your life to Him! Tell others about Him! He is worthy! He is holy! He is Almighty God!
