Abounding in God’s Work

“Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 NASB

No matter what we face, we can be confident that God’s work “gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” That we are more than conquerors in every situation (Romans 8:37).

Yet many Believers fail to experience this victory. The fact is that fear, worry, and anxiety actually can block the flow of God’s Spirit, and plunge us into discouragement and doubt.

One of the keys to victorious living is to be firm and immovable. To trust in God in every situation. To be confident in Him, no matter what we face. We must determine not to accept anything less than His richest blessings and complete victory.

When we are fixed and firm, we are able to abound in the work of the Lord. We are not content with minimal blessings, a few answers to prayer, and doing only a little for God’s Kingdom. We are “always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord” (Amplified Bible). We do more, receive more, give more, and believe God for more. But we can do this only if we are confident and resting in Him.

As you face life’s challenges, stay focused on God. Believe that His promises are true for you. As you trust Him, and stand on His Word, He can give you holy boldness, peace, and audacious faith.

Remember, God already has given you victory. Don’t let doubt steal this victory. Stay firm, steadfast, and immovable. Be confident in Him. Believe that His promises are true for you. And seek to excel, be superior, and do more than enough in His service.

Prayer: Father, help me to be steadfast and immovable in my faith. I trust in You and believe You for victory in every situation I face. Thank You that my labor is not in vain. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
