A Life of Integrity

Every day, we have opportunities to make decisions that shape our behavior and demonstrate our character and impact our relationships with others. These decisions are influenced by the people with whom we interact and trust. They’re influenced by what we read and listen to, what we watch, where we go, what we value.

In the days to come, we will face challenges and trials. And we will definitely be tempted. Satan and his demons will attempt to distract us and encourage us to doubt God, shape what we think about, and what we believe. This is why we need to be on guard and prepared, rooted in His Word.

In Psalm 101, David described steps he took to be ready to face challenges. He was careful about the choices he made and concerned about what happened “in my own home.” There, he sought to “lead a life of integrity,” and pledged to “refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar.”

God wants to help us be ready for our challenges. He helps us prepare us for decisions we make every day and remember that we have choices regarding the things we think about, the people who influence us.

The Bible assures us that God desires to bless and prosper us. Decide to please Him, to live with integrity. Always seek to obey His Word. Ask Him to help you make the right choices.
