The Wisdom of God’s Word for Healing Today!

I want to talk to you about the wisdom of God’s Word. Psalm 119:130 reads: “The entrance of Thy Word giveth light. It gives understanding to the simple.” When I think about the Word of God, what is it about the wisdom of the Word of God? The word wisdom comes from the Greek word “sofia,” which simply means to properly apply the knowledge you have for any situation.

God’s Word brings wisdom to your life. God’s Word brings wisdom to my life and such a wonderful opportunity – such a great, wonderful day of exploration and expansion. People are moving forward. Things are happening. It’s a joyous time, but let’s remember the wisdom of God’s Word.

In fact, there are three areas that you today can apply wisdom of God’s Word. Number one is direction. The Bible says, “Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Isn’t that a beautiful thing? The Word of God is a lamp currently where I’m standing. It shows me my current situation, right? But it’s also a light to my path. Not only does the Word show me where I’m at, it can help me in where I am going.

Number two speaks of discipline. The Bible says, “How can a young man cleanse his way but by taking heed to the Word of God.” We want to live for Jesus. We do that best by taking heed to the Word of God.

Direction, discipline and then finally dedication. The Scriptures remind us: “Timothy, you’ve known these Scriptures from a child. Your mother, your grandmother… they’ve given you the Word of God. And guess what? The Word of God makes you wise for salvation.” When we take the Word of God, we apply wisdom to our everyday situation; wisdom for our direction, for our discipline, and for our dedication.

Once again, in Psalm 119, listen to how the Amplified version reads. The Bible says, “The entrance and unfolding of Your words gives light. The unfolding gives understanding, discernment, and comprehension.”

Today, I want to encourage every one of you to take God’s Word and use it as wisdom. In other words, apply it rightfully to every situation. No matter where you’re standing or where you’re headed, the Word of God gives entrance and it gives light to a glorious, beautiful, and spirit-led future.

I want to pray with you. Father in Jesus’ name, thank You for Your Word. Your Word is so awesome. Your Word is powerful and today we find that the entrance of Your Word giveth light. Would You shine Your light on the situations where we’re currently at and where we’re currently headed. Thank You for direction. Someone needs direction today. May they find it in the Word. Someone needs more discipline to stay the course in their family; their finances; their home. Thank You for Your Word. Then, as we dedicate ourselves, thank You that Your Word makes us wise for salvation. We ask and we pray in Christ’s name, amen.
