No Longer an Outcast!

Kevin had lost everything to addiction—his family, his job, even his dignity. But when he sowed a simple seed in faith, God did more than deliver him from drugs…He gave Kevin a brand-new identity and purpose. Rock Bottom Wasn’t the End

Kevin’s life had unraveled. Crack cocaine had stolen his job, his family, his transportation, and his self-worth. “I was an outcast,” he admits. But in the depths of despair, something stirred in his spirit when he heard a message on Inspiration TV about sowing a seed in faith.

“Jesus is Lord,” Kevin says today with bold confidence. “He reaches out to the outcast—to the homeless. He reached out to me. I thank God for His unfailing love.”

A Seed and a Suddenly

While still struggling with addiction, Kevin sowed a seed for his deliverance. It wasn’t about buying a blessing—it was about releasing faith and obeying the tug of the Holy Spirit.

Nearly two months passed. Then one Sunday at church, Kevin responded to an altar call—not realizing it had been 58 days since he sowed $58. “I wasn’t thinking about the seed,” he said. “I just knew I had to go forward.”

And that’s when it happened.

“It was like the sound of a rushing, mighty wind that took control over me. Hands didn’t even have to touch me. The Holy Spirit purged me Himself. I was delivered from drugs—no 12-step program, praise God!”

The Power of a Seed

Kevin’s encounter with God forever marked him. He began walking in freedom—and purpose. “I believe in the power of a seed,” he shares. “Sow any seed the Holy Spirit tells you to sow. All through the Bible, God’s people gave to the Lord, and Jehovah Jireh provided.”

Kevin now serves as a deacon in his church and leads a ministry called Fishers of Men, born from his passion for fishing. He uses these outings as outreach opportunities to encourage, pray with, and disciple others—offering them the same hope that once rescued him.

Restoration and Purpose

Kevin says the principle of seedtime and harvest has changed his life. “I don’t understand why God’s people doubt Him when it comes to seed sowing. God restored everything I lost. He is an awesome God!”

More than restored, Kevin is now thriving. He’s living proof that no one is too far gone, and no life is too broken for God to redeem.

“I’m still sowing into God’s Kingdom,” he says joyfully, “and it still works!”

God Reaches the Outcast

Kevin’s story is a reminder that God sees every heart, hears every cry, and responds to every act of faith. When we respond to His prompting—whether with a prayer, a seed, or a step of surrender—He meets us with His power.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for reaching out to the broken, the lost, and the outcast. You never give up on us. I surrender the places in my life that feel too far gone. Restore what I’ve lost, redeem what feels wasted, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Just like Kevin, I trust You to do what only You can do.
