Is Life Always Going to Be a Daily Challenge?

Daily challenges are experienced by everyone. At some point, a challenge will interrupt life and cause us to pause and make a choice. The challenge may be positive or negative. Weight loss, finances, relationships, work deadlines, personal “to-do” lists, and more can challenge us. There are times you may have asked, “Is life always going to be a daily challenge?”, especially when troubles persist. Hope is always available with God. Go to God in prayer and seek His guidance.

The morning sun rises and the day begins. There are things to accomplish. What about the person who wakes up in pain? Arthritis pain, sickness from chemotherapy and/or radiation, heart disease, or other medical conditions can make each day a challenge.

Years ago, my spine doctor diagnosed me with spinal stenosis, significant arthritis in neck and back, and osteopenia. Since those initial findings, osteopenia has evolved into osteoporosis.

Medicines and physical therapy and the reminder to keep walking have all been part of helping me with the daily challenge of pain.

There have been days when the pain has caused me to question if I would ever feel better.

I pray and ask God to heal my body. I wait for His answer.

As a Christian, I know His answer is always best. Healing will come either here on this earth or complete healing in Heaven.

When challenges seem to come one after the other, and life seems unsteady, we can seek refuge and peace with the Father. God has never promised that life on this earth would be easy. God has promised He will always be with us.

Yes, life can be a daily challenge. Going to the Father in prayer opens the door to relationship with Him and helps us deal with each challenge. We are never alone. He is always with us.

Scripture to Help with Daily Challenges

  • “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NIV).
  • “So do not fear, for I am with you: do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NIV).
  • “And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20 NIV).
  • “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV).
  • “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV).

Sharing time with the Father through reading Scripture and praying offers the opportunity to face daily challenges with hope.

In His Name,
