Freedom from Guilt: God’s Amazing Grace

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries3 Minutes

Guilt. It’s one of the most common tricks Satan uses to attack the relationship you have with God.

So how can you best prepare to fight this sense of fingers being pointed at you? By always remembering that when Jesus died on the cross for you, He didn’t pay to redeem only some of your sin; His death forgave all your sins — both the penalty and any residual guilt that you feel!

God would never have allowed His Son Jesus to take on the form of man, go through the horrible pain and agony of crucifixion just to pay for your partial freedom— the blood of Jesus covers every sin, and every consequence from sin, including guilt.

Live in the Power of God’s Conviction

Knowing this — that you can live in the freedom of Christ — don’t allow yourself to wallow in feelings of guilt, condemnation, or insecurity. These are just Satan’s attempt to undermine the death of your Savior and the life He has within you.

Instead, live in the power of God’s conviction and use the tools He’s given you to fight Satan. All you need to do to fight Satan’s assault is to confess your sin to Christ and then turn away from it. It’s that simple.

Don’t let the devil lie and tell you the stain from your sin is greater than the power of Jesus’ blood to forgive you!

In fact, God knows that we all sin at times:

“If we have no sin, the truth is not in us and we make Him out to be a liar; but if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8-9).

Once you have confessed your sins and asked Him to forgive you, it’s time to move forward in the renewed power of the Holy Spirit. This is both a gift from God and your right as a believer.

Don’t Let Satan Steal Your Rights!

If you’ve been going through a period of doubt, depression, guilt, or other darkness, remember that those are tools of the devil. Don’t let him steal your rights to a life of fulfillment.

Stop Satan in his tracks and remember the blood of Jesus.

By His grace, God has given you mercy and forgiveness. All you have to do is ask for it.
