Watch Confront and Conquer with Kim Crabill

Casey Gomes: And I’m Casey Gomes.

Kim: Thank you for joining us for this series, “Confront and Conquer”, providing biblical principles to reveal, revive, and restore the warrior inside you. It’s been a pleasure to walk with you these last 10 sessions with you. And I thank you for joining us. We’ve covered a lot of material, haven’t we?

Casey: A lot of ground.

Kim: Mmm-hmm.

Casey: I wish we could have more time.

Kim: Absolutely. And we’ve invited people to open up those armored suitcases with all their hurts and devastations. And I believe a lot people really have. I believe the Scriptures we’ve gone over have been so helpful and insightful. And I believe that God has spoken to you.

But here’s one thing that I just have to do, Casey, before we end. I just want you to know that you know that you know the One who provided all this material for you. If you tried to attempt this on your own, Casey, it’s just not gonna work. We have to have that relationship with Jesus.

So, I wanted just to take just a minute today and just ask you, “Do you know that you know that you know? Deep in your heart have you invited Christ into your life?” If you haven’t, I’d like to give you four very quick Scriptures. This is so important. He is the one that calls you to this. Christ is the one who makes it all possible.

Romans 8:23 says that we have all fallen short of the glory of God. That’s all of us. So, throughout this, if you’ve said, “That’s not for me. I’m too bad, I’ve done too much,” I want you to know that is not the case. That is all of us. Romans 8:23 says that sin brings death, but God brings life to us. And I want you to know that God is offering life to each and every one of us today.

I’ll never forget the moment that I said “yes” to God. Romans 5:8 assures us that while we were yet sinners — before we even knew that there was a God that He died for us. He loved us that much. But then that incredible promise of Romans 10:9 that tells us that if we would just ask Him and believe that He rose up for us, and is now alive. If we ask and believe and receive Him that that is what walks us into relationship with Him. That’s what allows Him to come into our lives and that’s when that new life begins.

So, if you haven’t made that decision, those are the Scriptures for you today. And to get more help I’d like to invite you to go to tofindgod.com. It’s right here at Inspiration Ministries — tofindgod.com. As you begin that relationship with Him, then all these promises, everything that heaven has to offer, is available to you. And that’s a big step. Isn’t it Casey?

Casey: It is. And I think if you’re anything like me, the first time I went through one of these sessions, I’m like, “It’s over already? That’s it?” You may be thinking to yourself, “What’s our next step? What are we doing next?”

I’ll give you a few things you can do next. First, let’s put the men back in mentoring. Go mentor someone else. If you’re anything like me or some of the other men that’ve been through these, you think to yourself, “I’m not ready to do that.” Yeah, you are. It’s okay. There’s no certification process. You’ve already been through enough to be able to share burdens with another man. A guy that you’re friends with from college, someone that’s in your fantasy football league. There are a lot of men already in your life that you’re talking to and engaging with just like me that are willing and excited to have a different opportunity and a different conversation.

Kim: And they’re ready for it. Aren’t they? Casey, they’re ready. We think that they’re not, but they’re ready.  I didn’t mean to interrupt you but I just wanted to put that in. Someone is waiting for someone to start this conversation.

Casey: Yep, and we’ve done that. We say the ask is so important. So, as we’ve started these groups it’s one guy to another guy being like, “I think you’re a really good guy. You want to come Tuesday nights? I meet with a group of guys to talk about the Word of God or talk about the Word of God in our lives.” Simple, right?

That brings me to the second thing, which is stay in the Bible daily. I’m not an expert. Miss Kim’s a million times better at this than me. It can be a simple as opening it up and pointing to a Scripture and reading it. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated. This isn’t a quiz or a test. Just stay in the Word and continue to read it. I think with that also the third thing — continue to learn God’s voice. How He’s speaking to you? What He’s saying? He is speaking to you just like He is to me. It’s not always the easiest thing to hear, but we get better at it. And then also finally be aware of who’s around you and around us, particularly as we start to mentor and to grow in that. If you’re still here and you’re still watching and you’re still following, you’re here for a reason.

You’ve been following along because you’re interested and you want to pay attention. But also because we believe that God has kept you interested. So, if you’re still here and you’re sticking around, stay with us and keep going because it’s for a reason. God’s done some big work in your life and now He invites you to pass that along to other men and to encourage them. You are ready and you are able.

Kim: Absolutely. Good word, Casey. Thank you so much. And thank you friends for joining us. As we part ways for a while I want to encourage you to not let this be the end but a new and wonderful beginning. You are a warrior just like I started out Day One. You are a warrior and God will continue to use His Word to work on your behalf. There is nothing that will ever come against you that God cannot turn for your good and His glory and then allow you to use it to help those around you. You will continue to have issues to confront and conquer. That’s a promise. But remember your battle is never behind you. Remain focused on fighting for your future and never give up. Use those seven words of pause that we talked about last time.

And finally, in whatever comes your way stay steady in who you are — the warrior that God has made you to be. And remember the words from Paul. I love Paul’s word and the declaration of Acts 27:25. He was having a hard time, it was a big battle. But he looked around him, and we can all say this, and this is how I’ll end this: Keep up your courage and know that everything will be just as God has declared it to be.

Casey: Goodbye everyone. It’s been a real pleasure spending this time with you.

Kim: And we pray that this “Confront and Conquer” series has strengthened your walk.
