Grassroots with Angus Buchan

Watch Grassroots with Angus Buchan. Born in Zimbabwe, the son of white Rhodesian immigrants from Scotland, Angus Buchan farmed maize and cattle in Zambia until moving to South Africa in 1976. In 1980, the Lord gave Angus and his wife, Jill, a clear vision. Very simply and clearly through His Word, they believed their responsibility to be fulfilling the Great Commission, caring for orphans and widows, and equipping saints for the work of ministry.

In 1980, Angus started Shalom Ministries to preach in his local community. In November 1989, Angus and Jill felt the Lord call them to preach the Gospel wherever He would lead. So they handed over the day-to-day farm work to their sons and entered full-time evangelism.

They opened Beth-Hatlaim, a home for orphaned children, in 1995 to share the Savior’s love.

In 1998, Angus wrote a book about his life, Faith Like Potatoes, which became a film of the same title in 2006. Angus Buchan’s Ordinary People is a 2012 semi-biographical film that tells the story of the growth of Buchan’s ministry from the 1970s to the present, and that of three fictional characters whose lives are changed after attending one of his conferences.

Grassroots, a 30-minute teaching broadcast, features Angus sharing straight from God’s Word surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation on the family farm.
