Seven Hidden Blessings of Pentecost

Many believers know about the powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, but few realize the deeper promises tied to Pentecost. In this article, you’ll discover the seven hidden blessings of Pentecost—extraordinary covenant promises God still wants to release in your life today. Learn how honoring His appointed times can unlock breakthroughs in your health, relationships, and provision.

If you asked most Christians about what Pentecost is all about, they are likely to point you to a very important event in Acts 2:1-4. But let’s take some time to explore seven hidden blessings of Pentecost. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, a fledgling group of 120 believers had prayed … fasted … and waited. At first they must have wondered if anything would truly happen. But then, exactly 50 days after Jesus’ resurrection, a breakthrough came “suddenly”:

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

This was such a dramatic turning point in the disciples’ lives that it’s often called the birthday of the church. The church was born in power—power that transformed the disciples and enabled them to transform the world.

This event in Acts 2 should serve as a vital reminder that you and I are called to an amazing life.

But That’s Not All …

Although I love this story in Acts 2 about how the early church was empowered by the Spirit, I’m concerned that few believers seem to realize that God also promises additional blessings to His people when we honor Him during the Feast of Pentecost.

You see, Pentecost is one of three appointed times described in Exodus 23 and Leviticus 23 as special seasons when God wants to meet with His people and bless them in extraordinary ways. Along with the Feast of Passover and Feast of Tabernacles, God instructed His children to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost as a perpetual feast, for all generations (Leviticus 23:40-41).

Of course, these feasts aren’t a matter of your salvation, which is received solely by God’s grace on the basis of faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). However, the Bible says there’s a BLESSING in store for you when you commemorate the perpetual feasts, celebrations, and Holy Convocations (rehearsals) God designated as His appointed rimes.

God promises in Exodus 23 and Leviticus 23 that if you bring
your offerings and obey what He’s told you to do, He will pour out
seven specific covenant promises in your life:

  1. An angel of God will be assigned to protect you.
  2. God will be an enemy to your enemies.
  3. The Lord will prosper you.
  4. God will take sickness away from you.
  5. You will not die before your appointed time.
  6. Increase and an inheritance will be yours.
  7. The Lord will return to you what was lost to the enemy.

God never rescinded these promises just because He poured out the power of His Spirit in Acts 2. He still wants you to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but He also wants you to receive His promised blessings in Exodus and Leviticus.

Honoring God’s Appointed Times

In order to unlock all of these seven hidden blessings God has for you, it’s crucial that you fulfill His conditions. In the context of God’s appointed times, Deuteronomy 16:16 says, “None shall appear before the Lord empty-handed.” During these special times each year, the Israelites were to present their sacrifices and offerings to the Lord from the seeds they had sown and the harvest He had given them.

Do you see what a wonderful opportunity this is? God wants to bless you and answer your prayers all year long. But He says there are certain windows of time when your seeds can reap extraordinary blessings and breakthroughs.

You don’t have to wait any longer, because this month is the Feast of Pentecost!

Do you want to reap God’s BEST? Do you want to see Him move in your life as never before? Then begin now to prepare your heart and your special Feast of Pentecost offering to the Lord.

I’m convinced that if you need a breakthrough in your body … your relationship with the Lord … your marriage … your children … your emotions … or your finances …

This is your opportunity to obey God and unleash His covenant blessings in a very special way!
