Honor Lives Lost in Holocaust

Remembering the Loss of More Than Six Million Precious Lives

Today, we remember those who endured deplorable conditions and died in concentration camps at the hands of Hitler’s cruel regime. We also remember those who risked their lives to rescue as many as they were able to save. Countless stories of heroism are still coming to light even now, more than seventy years later.

As we commemorate the lives of those who suffered, we also call to mind those great men and women of old whose faith was tested by intense affliction. We read of them in Hebrews 11. God offered no explanation for their suffering. They simply had to endure it by faith.

Some were tortured for their faith. Others endured mocking, scourgings, prison, and more. They were stoned and slain for their faith. Some spent their entire lives afflicted and tormented.

But they never lost hope in God. And you shouldn’t either!

You can trust that God will never leave you or forsake you. He holds you in the palm of His hand, and with God, you can endure any trial that comes your way.

No matter what you may be facing, your Heavenly Father wants to bless you and comfort you. He will hold you in His strong, loving arms throughout every troubling circumstance. I am praying Deuteronomy 7:13 over you today:

“And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil.”

God bless you,
