Need a Christmas Miracle?

December can often be an emotional month, filled with a medley of excitement, grief, joy, and yes, heartbreak. Children fix their eyes on the Christmas tree as gifts make their way underneath. Parents spend countless hours trying to budget each gift out of their paycheck. Relatives come together for a meal, oftentimes the only one they share all year.  Perhaps you are asking God for your heart to be comforted this Christmas season as loved ones who no longer have a place at the dinner table are deeply, deeply mourned.

In Kareen’s case, she had only one Christmas wish: for her father to be released from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Just two weeks before Christmas, he was rushed into ICU for heart and lung failure. In the blink of an eye, satisfaction and joy were exchanged for fear and grief.

What do you do in times of trouble, when you are in desperate need of a miracle? Do you remember to pray when troubling times storm through your front door?

Kareen did. She called the International Prayer Center of Inspiration Ministries and prayed with one of the Bible-believing ministers. Matthew 18:19 declares, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”

And when Christmas Eve arrived, the last possible chance for her father to be released in time for Christmas, God answered their prayers. He was released from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Undoubtedly a true miracle, Kareen celebrated Christmas Day enjoying the most precious gift of all: her father’s return home.

God hears your prayers in the midst of the emotions of this holiday season. He sees your excitement and your heartbreak, and He offers abundant life for you. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7).
