Jay Payleitner spent a decade in major market advertising in Chicago writing and producing commercials before spending two decades as a freelance radio producer. He has written more than 25 books, including What If God Wrote Your To-Do List?, 52 Things Kids Need from a Dad, and Don’t Take the Bait to Escalate, totaling more than a half-million copies sold. He and his wife, Rita, live in St. Charles, Illinois, and have five adult children.

Rae Anne Payleitner is Jay and Rita’s youngest child (she has four older brothers). She attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, lived for four years in Dublin, Ireland, and returned to Chicago where she is now a strategist for a technology company. In her free time, she likes hanging out with her seven nieces and nephews, writing, listening to Chicago Cubs games on the radio, or competing in Bar Trivia.
