Victory Everywhere

Daily Devotional2 Minutes

Victory everywhere comes when we trust God completely—just as He gave David success, He will lead you to victory.

“And the LORD helped David wherever he went.”—1 Chronicles 18:6 NASB

David had a remarkable life. Once just an obscure shepherd boy, he became a killer of giants, a military conqueror, and king of Israel. As David continued to face enormous obstacles, he defeated every enemy, and his army had success even when David wasn’t with them.

David was so successful that the king of Zobah brought him tribute without a single battle. No one wanted to face such a warrior or such people who so consistently were victorious. Because of God’s blessing, Israel gained overwhelming riches and resources. God’s blessings were everywhere throughout the land.

Certainly, David was a shrewd military man. He attracted loyal followers and was a strong leader. He was trustworthy and responsible, intelligent and humble. But the real reason for his success was “The LORD made David victorious wherever he went” (v. 6 CSB).

This is the picture of a life of success: victory everywhere—in every battle, over every foe, in the face of every obstacle. Victory in relationships, finances, safety, peace, prosperity, and wisdom.

Do you want this kind of victory in your life? Follow the example of David. Commit your life to God. Serve Him. Allow Him to direct and guide you. Have faith and be willing to move forward boldly, without fear. Spend time in prayer and ask the Lord for wisdom. Fill your life with worship and praise. This is the path to victory everywhere.

Reflection Question: How can you trust God to bring victory in every area of your life?
