Three Promises of Blessing

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

God was not pleased with His people. Many had served other gods and broken His laws. Their lives were filled with corruption. They were guilty of oppression, acting without mercy, and failing to show righteousness. He warned that they would face the consequences of their actions.

But God also stressed this important truth: “I do not change.” And it was because He does not change that His people “are not consumed.”

The Lord reminded them that He desired to bless them. He wanted to give them peace and grant them favor and a life overflowing with abundance. But to receive these blessings, they needed to “return to Me” (v. 7) and “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse” (v. 10). This meant placing Him and His Kingdom first in every area of their lives.

If they would do these things, God promised three blessings: (1) They would experience unlimited blessings, for He promised to “open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” (2) They would receive divine protection: “I will rebuke the devourer for you.” (3) They would be blessed with happiness: “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land” (vs. 10-12).

These same promises of blessing are available to you! Remember, God does not change. His Word still is true, and you can count on Him.

But the results depend on the choices you make-how you spend your time and how you invest the resources God has given to you.

Make God the priority in your life. Honor Him with your tithes, offerings, and gifts. Give Him first place in your life. Be faithful with the resources you’ve been given. Dare to believe Him, and prepare to receive His bountiful blessings!
