The Prayer of Faith

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

The Bible makes clear that God is concerned about everything in our lives, beginning with our spiritual condition. But He also is concerned for our physical needs and health. He urges us to seek Him directly for any needs we might have. However, there also are times when He wants us to work through other Christians, and specifically through those called to leadership and anointed for service.

James, who was a leader in the early church, wrote to help Christians understand more clearly how they are to live. And how important it was to be part of the Body of Christ.

He said that anyone sick should “call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” God promised answers: “The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.”

We should never place limits on God. He can work in many ways. But we should also remember His concern for the Body of Christ and the power that is released when we pray for each other.

If you have other physical needs, obey God’s Word and “call for the elders of the church.” This might be your pastor, elders, church leaders, or others in spiritual authority.

Remember the prayer of faith and the power God has given to His people. All of His people. If you have a physical need today, believe God and do not hesitate to call on others to pray for you. And be ready to pray for others, always praying in faith!
