The Fullness of Time

The Bible tells us, “there is an appointed time for everything” and a perfect time “for every event under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). God always knows the right time. That is when He acts. We see the perfection of His plans when He sent Jesus into this world, for He was born at just the right time.

He acts in the same way in the world today. He has a plan for the nations; He will not act too soon or too late, but He will act in the “fullness of time” when all preparations are complete and when everything is ready.

God works the same way in our lives. We may have prayed about problems or may know people who need His help. Despite our prayers, we may not have received the answers we hoped for. In fact, it can appear that God is doing nothing.

These are moments not to give up but to stay persistent, keep trusting, have faith, and remember that God acts in the “fullness of time” when all the circumstances are prepared. And, only He knows the right time.

There is a right time for us to act, too. When God opens the doors for you, seize those moments. When He gives you opportunities, sow seeds from the resources you have been given. Seek to live according to the seasons of life He has prepared for you.
