The Power of the Resurrection

For many, Christianity is just a religion. Part of a tradition. Even a social club. But the resurrection of Jesus demonstrates that God desires something much more profound.

He offers us resurrection life, filled with resurrection power! A relationship in which we experience the fullness of His promises.

We can become so preoccupied with the practical concerns of daily life that we fail to grasp the spiritual riches that God has made available to us. We can accept a mediocre faith and be content with problems and weakness. But that is not God’s desire.

The Bible tells us that He offers us “a rich and glorious inheritance.” Just think! Incredibly great power is available to us, if we believe in Him. In fact, “this is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.” And He wants us to share that same power, right now!

God also wants us to know the hope to which he has called us. Because of Jesus, we have hope when we face monumental problems, when nothing seems to be going right, when we are discouraged or afraid, when our resources seem too small or our adversaries seem too mighty.

In your life, don’t be content with less than God’s best. Ask Him to give you a fresh revelation. To help you grasp the fullness of His resurrection power. Then expect His power to be unleashed in your life.
