Ordered by the Lord

All of us face challenges. Some simple. Some complicated. Regardless of the complexity, we can find ourselves perplexed, feeling anxious or worried. But in every situation, the Bible assures us that God knows what we are going through, that He is with us every step of the way, and wants us to trust Him.

The Bible reminds us that He is faithful. As we spend time with Him, our worries will fade away, and we’ll be more confident in Him. The Bible tells us that He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. This means that we can trust Him completely to provide everything we need.

David realized that God was watching over him and even directing his steps. In fact, “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” Our focus should be on making sure that our lives are pleasing to Him. That we truly are trusting in Him.

We may make mistakes and go through difficulties, but God will not fail. He will uphold us and keep us from being “utterly cast down.” He will provide for us and deliver us from worry. In fact, David said that he never had seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread.

If you are going through anxious times, remember that God is your provider. Seek to live a Godly life and trust Him to guide you and direct your steps. Be confident that, if you stumble, He will not let you fall, for He is holding you by His hand. Trust in Him!
