His Life in Us

His Life in Us

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries1 Minutes

Paul realized that he had been called by God and that his fulfillment and joy came from pleasing Him. He also realized that Jesus’ life could not become visible in him as long as he focused on himself.

Paul knew how easily we can be dominated by earthly pleasures. And he realized that what God offered was so much greater. But it required a new kind of commitment. This took place through the process of “being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake.” This was something that took place “constantly.” It never ended.

What, in practical terms, does this really mean? First, it means being sure that we are born again, that our sins have been forgiven, and that we have made a commitment to Jesus as our Lord. It means we have surrendered our lives to Him and know He is not a character from history, but our personal Savior.

It doesn’t stop there. We need to develop our relationship with Him. Constantly pray about situations we face. Devote ourselves to His Word. Confess His principles over and over again. Meditate on them. Moment by moment choose His way. Fill our lives with worship and praise. Seek to be filled with His Spirit. Gain more confidence in His presence.

If you want to experience the riches of the Christian life, practice these principles. This isn’t a theory but a reality.
