God Wants You to Do Your Part

God was promising incredible blessings. That this man would reign “over all your heart desires.” That he would be “king over Israel.” These sound like words He said to Solomon. However, in fact, He was speaking to Jeroboam, a servant who was not part of David’s royal line. Yet God made basically the same promises to Jeroboam as He had made to David and Solomon.

But just like God’s words to Solomon and David, there were conditions. Jeroboam had to do specific things to receive these blessings. God promised to bless him “if you heed all that I command you, walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight.” If he kept His commandments and statutes.

These conditions are consistent throughout the Bible. Over and over, we see how His promises are true, but there are important conditions. We need to obey Him, keep His Word, and walk in His ways. Those who disobey Him and go their own way cannot receive His promises.

The Bible reminds us that all of God’s promises still are true. And they are available to you. The question is, do you want them to be fulfilled in your life? Do you want the anointing, blessing, power, and protection that He promises? Then be careful to obey His Word and do the things He wants you to do.

If you walk in His ways, He promises to bless you and fulfill every promise for you!
