Free from Guilt

David had become overwhelmed by guilt. By things he had thought and done. And this guilt manifested many reactions in his mind and body.

It impacted his health. He felt he was carrying a burden that was too heavy for him to bear. He was weighed down by the impact of sins in his life. As a result, he had back pains.

His emotions were impacted, and he always seemed to be mourning. He felt feeble and crushed, and his heart was agitated.

Guilt can have this kind of influence on our lives. It can cause physical, emotional, and mental problems. But God can remove all of this guilt, as well as its impact.

If we want to be free, we can pray, like David, confessing our sins, and asking God for forgiveness. The Bible promises that if we confess our sins and seek God with a sincere heart, He can take away our burdens and guilt because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, restoring us to a right relationship with Him.

If you find yourself feeling the effects of any kind of guilt, seek God. Cry out to Him for His help and mercy. Ask Him to remove the things that have caused guilt in your life.

Don’t run away or ignore the conviction of His Spirit. Be honest with Him. Admit your sins, and seek to be restored to fellowship. Ask the forgiveness of anyone whom you might have hurt or harmed, and set things right through the grace of God. He is with you. And He is ready to free you of guilt by the blood of His Son.
