Abundant Resources

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

God had blessed His people abundantly. But, because of sin and disobedience, they had squandered these blessings. As they returned from exile, it would have been easy to dwell on their past mistakes. They could remember how the riches He had given them were gone, and realized all that had been lost!

God wanted them to understand that He knew their mistakes, but their waste had not diminished His power or resources. He could shake the heavens and earth, for “the silver is Mine and the gold is Mine.” As they confessed their sins and turned again to Him, He was ready to restore and bless them so that the “latter glory” would be “greater than the former.”

How easy it can be to focus on our mistakes, and our human limitations. To compare our resources with those possessed by others. But God continually reminds us that He has no limits. That all things are possible with Him.

Like those ancient Israelites, we, too, can be forgiven when we have committed sins. If we return to Him and ask for forgiveness, He is ready to bless us from His abundant storehouse. If we have wasted opportunities and resources, we can be given a second chance. Like the father of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24), God is ready to accept, forgive, and restore us.

Make sure that your heart is clean before the Lord. Seek to be a faithful steward, always Sowing into His Kingdom from the resources He has given you. And don’t limit Him, for He has no limits!
